This is the final poster design for our film trailer, Half. The picture we used was David looking at his younger self, a clip from the trailer itself. We made it black and white to show that is was based in the past, also to show the mysterious elements. The poster was also made distorted to represent his unstable mental health as well to make our poster different to other film posters, so it was eye catching and would grab the audiences attention. The 'a' is red because it signifies the division between past and present as well as psychologically sane and psychologically insane. We also switched the actors names around so each actors name is above the opposite actor. This shows the mental state of things inside our main characters head which goes along with the psychological aspect of our trailer.
This was half way into the editing process of our poster. There are some key decision we made before going on to finish the poster. We opted to use a picture from the trailer which we photoshopped from final cut to access. We chose this picture as it is a key moment of the trailer and shows David reflecting on his troubled past by looking into his younger self. I think it also shows the two side split personality of our main Character. We made it black and white to show the change in time, to currently show that it was the past, it was also made distorted to show the mystery elements to our film and to make it eye grabbing and effective to look at.
